A distinctive special edition from IWC's Aquatimer collection, the Expedition Charles Darwin pays tribute to the naturalist whose voyage aboard HMS Beagle reshaped our understanding of the natural world. What sets this reference apart is its 44mm case crafted from bronze — a living material that develops a unique patina over time, giving every example its own individual character.

The case back is engraved with a portrait of Darwin, a fitting nod to the watch's namesake and IWC's long-standing support of the Charles Darwin Foundation.

The black dial houses IWC's flyback chronograph with day and date, framed by the brand's signature external/internal SafeDive rotating bezel system. At its heart is the IWC-manufactured Caliber 89365, an in-house automatic flyback chronograph movement beating at 28,800 vph with a generous 68-hour power reserve. The watch is presented on its black rubber strap and runs strong and accurate.

This example is in excellent pre-owned condition, consistent with light, careful wear, and the bronze case carries the warm, evolving patina these editions are celebrated for. It comes complete with its original box and papers dated 2019, and the IWC international warranty runs through December 2027.
