Omega's Apollo 8 pays tribute to the first crewed mission to orbit the Moon, and does so with one of the most distinctive dial treatments in the modern Speedmaster catalog. The 44.25 mm case is finished in matte black ceramic, paired with a matching black ceramic tachymeter bezel. The dial is partially skeletonized and laser-ablated to replicate the surface of the Moon, exposing the movement's architecture beneath a textured lunar finish, with a striking yellow central chronograph seconds hand as the singular color accent. Sub-dials for the 12-hour and 30-minute counters sit in black with white markings, and a small seconds display completes the layout. It's presented on a black perforated leather strap with yellow stitching.

Powering the watch is the Omega Caliber 1869, a hand-wound chronograph movement and Master Chronometer certified — METAS-tested for precision, resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and water resistance to 50m. The exhibition-style front dial gives a rare look at the movement's construction without needing to turn the watch over.

This example is a 2024 production in like new condition, presenting as essentially unworn, and verified running beautifully on the time grapher. It comes complete with both inner and outer Omega box, international warranty card, Master Chronometer card, pictogram card, and operating instructions booklet. The case serial number matches the warranty card. The warranty card is dated but was not stamped by the retailer at the time of sale.
