It was the accomplishments of the Apollo 8 astronauts that inspired Omega's all-black ceramic Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon, and the Sedna Black takes that concept further with the introduction of genuine precious metal. The 44.25mm case is crafted from brushed and polished black zirconium dioxide ceramic, offset by an 18K Sedna gold bezel — Omega's proprietary rose gold alloy — with a matte chromium nitride tachymeter scale. The matte grey dial carries laser-etched markings, complemented by 18K Sedna gold hands and index markers.

Powering the watch is the Omega Co-Axial Calibre 9300, a self-winding chronograph movement delivering a 60-hour power reserve via twin barrels mounted in series. A domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial. 

The watch is a 2020 production, in mint condition, verified running strong and within specification on the timegrapher. It comes complete with its original presentation box, international warranty card, pictogram card, and operating instructions booklet. This example is fitted with Omega's black textile strap (woven front with a leather lining on the reverse) in excellent condition, rather than the leather strap that typically accompanies this reference. The strap is closed with Omega's brushed ceramic and titanium foldover clasp.
